Nominees can apply through an online platform through November 1, 2024. Self-nominations are welcome. Entering more than one category is allowed. A Nominations Template is provided, and nominees must follow the specific guidelines listed on the website for the particular award for which they are submitting. Use the template as a guideline, but additional pages are allowed. For example, when submitting a 700-word description or visual images, it can flow across multiple pages.
New in 2025, Oceantic has broadened nominations for select Ventus Award categories to reflect the evolution of Oceantic’s mission, vision and membership. The Ventus Awards will continue to shine a spotlight on those who are making a difference in the world through their talent, drive, and commitment to advance offshore wind and, now, other ocean renewables as well as improve the environment. However, five categories will remain ONLY offshore wind-focused: Offshore Wind Leadership, Offshore Wind Trailblazer, Supply Chain Advancement – Private Sector, Supply Chain Advancement – Public, and the Heronemus Award for Outstanding Achievement in Offshore Wind (closed to nominations.)
Ventus Award finalists for each category will be announced in early March 2025, ahead of the Ventus Gala taking place April 29 as part of the 2025 International Partnering Forum (IPF) in Virginia Beach.

No. All companies, organizations, and individuals are encouraged to submit nominations regardless of project location or company headquarters. The Ventus Awards are the Network’s highest level of professional recognition, celebrating the trailblazing people, companies, organizations, and work ushering in the adoption of offshore wind energy and other ocean renewables around the globe.
All completed applications will be reviewed by and a jury of luminaries representing the breadth of the ocean renewables industry. The Selection Committee will judge all applicants solely on their submitted materials.
Yes. There is no limit; individuals/companies can submit a single project to more than one category, if applicable. Multiple submissions are allowed by an individual, company, or group. However, we ask that a single nomination only be submitted once per category. Multiple entries for a single nomination to a category will be disqualified.
Yes, you may self-nominate. You may also submit on behalf of another individual, company, or group.
No, submissions to the ten open Ventus Award categories are free of charge.
