Gathering in Virginia Beach to celebrate industry trailblazers
The Ventus Gala is a formal event where preeminent industry leaders, supporters, and advocates gather to celebrate the global offshore wind industry’s accomplishments as well as honor the year’s Ventus Awards recipients – companies and individuals who are setting a path to move the offshore wind industry forward with their innovative, collaborative, and groundbreaking work. The 2025 Ventus Gala will take place in conjunction with the Network’s International Partnering Forum (IPF) in Virginia Beach.
Significance of the Ventus Awards
The Network’s Ventus Awards are named after what is essential to the work we do: wind. It also refers to the Venti, or Roman Gods for wind – each with their own directional power from north, south, east and west. These awards honor those people, companies and organizations that embody the powerful force of wind to set the industry on course for new and better future, be it products, programs, or technology that allow us to harness wind to better lives of those around us through clean energy, a safer environment, and innovative jobs.
The Ventus award represents the intertwining of elements to create a harmonious balance of elegance and strength. It is the swirling gusts and the rolling tides—a culmination of the natural cyclical process. A reminder that only by the combination of efforts can we effect the change we wish to see. Each award is created from handblown glass by artist Tim McFadden in his Baltimore studio.

Charitable Cause: Rising Star Student Scholarship
A portion of all Gala tickets and table sales help to fund the Rising Start Student Scholarship, which Oceantic awards each year to college-bound high school seniors who have demonstrated impeccable academic achievement and a keen interest in pursuing a career in ocean renewables.
