Specializing in offshore wind energy, our focus is on data-informed training and development, ensuring that both individuals and organizations are well-equipped with the latest insights and competencies needed for success in this dynamic industry. Complementing our expertise, IWNL Energy is introducing the “Energy Career Navigator,” a unique tool that helps individuals discover where they fit in the rapidly growing offshore wind industry based upon their skills and interests.
Open Ocean Robotics
Open Ocean Robotics offers safer, more affordable, and sustainable ways to collect and manage oceanographic and maritime data. Our autonomous robotic data collection platform and cloud-based software system provide real-time data acquisition with AI-driven analytics. Open Ocean Robotics is helping to navigate a sustainable future by empowering offshore wind development with autonomous unmanned surface vehicles (USVs). The data collected from day one will advance understanding of wind and wildlife patterns across entire lease areas to inform the most environmentally responsible and efficient design, project layout, safe and reliable operations and maintenance, and optimal turbine siting.
RCAM Technologies
RCAM Technologies, a cleantech startup with offices in Boulder and Los Angeles, specializes in developing innovative concrete products and solutions tailored for the marine renewable energy sector. Our product portfolio includes gravity, suction, and torpedo anchors, fixed-bottom and floating foundations, and energy storage spheres for a variety of markets including offshore wind, floating solar, wave energy, and more. These products are engineered using cutting-edge automated construction methods, such as 3D concrete printing, allowing precise customization and high cost-effectiveness.
Triton Anchor
Triton Anchor is a leading developer of anchoring technology for floating offshore wind and marine renewable energy industries with cost-effective anchoring solutions. Our helical pile-based solution is more efficient than competitors resulting in a lower installed cost for the client while enabling local fabrication with an environmentally friendly installation method. Our product uses highly efficient helical piles, already manufactured in mass quantity for land-based civil construction industries, that are grouped together with an exterior caisson to provide a modular anchor that is best in class. Combining our anchor with our silent subsea installation tool gives the client more vessel availability and the most environmentally friendly installation. Triton Anchor has over 40 years of expertise in the offshore energy and anchoring industries and offers EPC services to global floating offshore wind project developers.
Veer Renewables
Established in 2022, Veer Renewables is at the forefront of innovative R&D solutions for the onshore and offshore wind industry. With a focus on meteorology and data science, we provide unparalleled tools and insights that empower owner/operators, investors, and other stakeholders to comprehensively assess the performance of their wind assets, both existing and prospective. Our flagship product, WakeMap, leverages numerical weather prediction technology to analyze and elucidate the effects of “long wakes”—wind speed reductions downstream of wind farms that have been observed to extend more than 100 kilometers under specific atmospheric conditions. This critical but largely overlooked phenomenon is now gaining significant attention, with stakeholders increasingly turning to WakeMap to better understand the future performance of their assets and refine their bids for upcoming lease areas.
Wave Power Engineering
Wave Power Engineering runs the Wave Mill Project (WM), an ocean wave energy converter, which works quietly and does not have moving parts. The WM design is based on the concept of reciprocating air pumps. The WM creates unidirectional, uninterruptable and continuous air flow, which feeds embedded air turbines. The cost of kWh competes with power from the main grid. The combination of the continuous uninterruptable power supply and the large and flat deck creates a perfect foundation for a wide range of customer applications, including power supply for islands and close to shore communities; floating break water and marina; coastal protection; green hydrogen production; floating support facility for offshore industries; mariculture (fish cages, oyster farms; and tourism and recreational (artificial reef, diving platforms, boatels).
