LS Cable & System (LSC&S), a renowned participant in the submarine power cable manufacturing industry, boasts a global presence with its headquarters located in Anyang, South Korea. With a network of 33 subsidiaries spread across 21 countries, including the USA, LSC&S showcases its extensive reach and influence in the sector. LSC&S has achieved notable progress in the US Offshore Wind and Utility sectors through its American subsidiary, LSCSA, establishing itself as a leader in the North American energy sector. These advancements include successfully supplying and installing the export and inter-array cables for the very first U.S. offshore wind farm project in Block Island, Rhode Island. This project, involved a capacity of 30 megawatts (MW) and, marked LS as the pioneer offshore wind cable supplier in the U.S.
To further strengthen its commitment to providing a sustainable US offshore wind energy solution, LS is taking a pioneering step by establishing a new US-based subsidiary, LS GreenLink USA Inc. The focus of LS GreenLink is to construct a cutting-edge submarine power cable factory in Chesapeake, Virginia. Strategically located near one of the largest BOEM lease areas on the east coast, this factory will revolutionize the US submarine power cable supply chain.
