BALTIMORE — Oceantic Network, the leading organization working to advance offshore wind and other ocean renewable industries and their supply chains, will host several events in the first half of 2024, bringing the industry together to connect, learn, and discover new opportunities. The Network will kick off 2024 with its annual OSW O&M/Health & Safety Summit. Then, in February, the Network will host two new events, the Maryland Offshore Wind Forum and the Floating OSW Port & Vessel Summit, followed by the International Partnering Forum returning in April. Additionally, the Network’s Global Gateway program will host delegation trips to Spain in March and the U.K. in June.
“As the industry’s first offshore wind projects begin operation, the Network is ramping up its programming to reflect where we are as an industry, address new challenges, and open opportunities to more companies than ever before.” said Liz Burdock, founder and CEO of Oceantic Network. “To reflect our new name and mission, our 2024 events will include new programming featuring complementary ocean renewables, such as floating solar and hydrogen fuel production.”
OSW O&M/Health & Safety Summit
Presented by Oceantic Network
Thursday, January 18 – Friday, January 19
Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel
Virginia Beach, Virginia
As offshore wind and related ocean renewables continue to mature, it is critical that industry support systems are strong, resilient, and continuously adapting to new technologies. As the U.S. sees its first projects already supplying power to the grid, it will also see a lot of projects begin and complete installation activities over the next several years. What are the industry standards for operations and maintenance? Operational wind farms and hybrid wind parks also require a trained workforce that values safety – how can we ensure that safety remains a high-level priority as the industry moves forward? The OSW/O&M Health & Safety Summit will discuss the nexus of these industry support systems and the critical need for them to work together.
Maryland Offshore Wind Forum
Presented by Oceantic Network
Monday, February 12
Anne Arundel Community College, CADE Building
Arnold, Maryland
