BALTIMORE – The Oceantic Network has opened submissions for its 2025 Ventus Awards and Call for Workshops for the 2025 International Partnering Forum (IPF), the largest offshore wind and ocean renewables conference in the Americas, taking place April 28 to May 1 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Both programs give individuals and organizations the opportunity to be recognized for their work in the industry and showcase their expertise. Submissions for both are open through November 1.
The Ventus Awards are the highest level of professional recognition, celebrating the innovative people, companies, organizations, and work worldwide moving the global offshore wind industry forward. The eleven awards recognize the breadth and diversity of the industry, from supply chain advancement and Next Wave Leadership (under 35) to engineering excellence (full list below). New this year, IPF will host the Ventus Gala, where the industry gathers to celebrate the global offshore wind industry’s accomplishments and honor the year’s Ventus Awards recipients. Inclusion in IPF will offer a new opportunity for awardees to be further recognized and immersed in the networking experiences IPF offers.
“The Ventus Awards celebrate the important work taking place at all levels of the global offshore wind industry. They honor those who are using their passion and talent to further develop an industry that is creating jobs and delivery clean, renewable energy to homes and communities,” said Melinda Skea, vice president of public affairs at Oceantic Network and lead of the Ventus Awards program. “Making the Awards part of IPF will unite two important industry gatherings focused on moving this industry forward.”
The 2025 IPF Call for Workshops offers individuals and organizations the opportunity to assemble experts for an IPF workshop showcasing solutions to a current industry challenge. The 11 workshops categories include Floating Offshore Wind, Port & Vessel, Scientific & Technical, and more (full list below.) Speakers at IPF have the opportunity to showcase their knowledge, expand their network, and gain recognition among industry peers.
“IPF is the premier location to gain knowledge and share your expertise with the wider offshore wind industry,” said Carley Milligan, senior writer and content developer at Oceantic Network, who oversees IPF programming. “We work diligently to bring valuable programming to IPF attendees, consistently refining workshop tracks to address key needs, hurdles, and advances in the industry. Call for Workshops allows us to incorporate key industry voices into our programming, ensuring we get the latest research and findings from the individuals working every day to advance our industry. It’s just one reason IPF is the premier event for professionals in U.S. offshore wind.”
To help those interested in submitting an IPF Call for Workshops or a Ventus Award nomination, Oceantic Network staff will host two webinars: one September 12 covering the IPF Call for Workshops submission process and tips to stand out, and another September 26 covering the Ventus Award nomination process.
