BALTIMORE – Oceantic Network issued the following statement on behalf of Sam Salustro, SVP of Policy and Market Affairs, after the House Natural Resources Committee held its markup and passed, in a 25-18 vote, the bipartisan Standardizing Permitting and Expediting Economic Development (SPEED) Act:
“Oceantic Network applauds the Committee’s work to advance bipartisan permitting reform for American energy infrastructure, taking strong steps this week towards rebuilding certainty for large-scale projects and long-term investments that are critical to balancing rising energy demand with energy affordability. We thank Representatives Golden, Stauber and other Committee members who advocated for stronger protections for permitting certainty, Representative Magaziner for his steadfast and vocal support, and Chairman Westerman for his ongoing leadership to strengthen our country’s energy permitting framework. We look forward to continuing this work with Congress towards a more secure, resilient energy future for our communities.”
