BALTIMORE — Oceantic Network today announced Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston as a keynote speaker for its annual International Partnering Forum (IPF), taking place February 9-12, 2026, in New York City. Premier Houston will address attendees during the offshore energy conference’s Closing Plenary on Thursday, February 12, sharing Nova Scotia’s bold offshore energy vision and the province’s commitment to international collaboration.
Nova Scotia recently unveiled plans to auction 5 GW of offshore wind energy by 2030, with its first call for bids expected later this year. The province’s proximity to the U.S. East Coast and its deep maritime expertise position it as a natural partner for the American offshore energy supply chain—especially as the U.S. industry faces federal regulatory headwinds that threaten to stall progress.

2026 IPF-Energy at Sea will convene global leaders, developers, suppliers, and policymakers in New York City, expanding the conversation to include grid and transmission and the broad spectrum of ocean economy sectors, including tidal, wave, and floating solar energy technologies.
