Baltimore – The Oceantic Network will host Ports & Vessels Livestream on Tuesday, January 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EST. The half-day event will provide an update on federal vessel policies under the Biden administration, vessel development, green vessel technologies, blue bonds for port infrastructure, supply chain opportunities and more.
The past year has been a newsworthy one for ports and vessels developments in the U.S. offshore wind industry. A Jones Act compliant service operation vessels (SOV) has been contracted for use in the U.S., a jack up vessel is being developed, states are investing in port developments, and billions of dollars of investment are flowing into offshore wind energy. The Network’s first event of 2021 is designed to ensure businesses are informed and connected to the many ports and vessel opportunities unfolding in the offshore wind energy industry in 2021.
The Livestream will begin with a one-on-one conversation with the Network’s CEO Liz Burdock and Charlie Papavizas, partner at Winston & Strawn, on offshore wind federal vessel policies under the new administration. Participants will hear from panelists and industry leaders including, Ørsted, Dominion Energy, DNV GL, Volvo Penta of the Americas, and more. Attendees will also hear from government leaders at NJ EDA, NYC EDA, Maryland Port Authority, and the Port of Virginia in OSW Port RFP opportunities. The day will include breakout virtual networking sessions, allowing participants to discuss updates, industry trends, and new projects.
