BALTIMORE – The Oceantic Network, the leading non-profit advocate for U.S. offshore wind will host its eighth annual International Offshore Wind Partnering Forum (IPF) on August 24 – 26 in Richmond, Virginia. The three-day event will bring together industry leaders, government officials, and companies working to cement the U.S. offshore wind industry as the backbone to a green energy infrastructure. IPF will tackle topics from what the U.S. needs to get to net zero, local opportunities within the growing global market, and using offshore wind to strengthen the country’s infrastructure.
The annual IPF conference is the premier event for the offshore wind energy supply chain, which is now projected to be a $100 billion revenue opportunity in capital expenditures alone. This year’s speakers include Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, Virginia Senator Mark Warner, Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney as well as government officials like Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Director Amanda Lefton and industry leaders Vineyard Wind CEO Lars Thanning Pedersen, U.S. Wind CEO Jeff Grybowski, Ørsted Offshore North America CEO David Hardy, and more. Each will address aspects of the growing offshore wind industry from port developments, workforce training, supply chain needs and more.
“It has been more than two years since the U.S. OSW industry has gathered in person to create the partnerships, collaboration, and deal making required to build an industry and transition to clean energy. With all the decision makers in one place, the Network’s IPF in Richmond is critical to meet the U.S. goal,” said Liz Burdock, CEO and president of Oceantic Network. “All of these decision makers will convene next week at the Network’s IPF in Richmond to discuss, collaborate, and advance offshore wind in the U.S.”
The exhibit and conference are on track to draw thousands of industry professionals representing over 500 companies, all focused on sharing valuable insights on how to move the emerging U.S. wind industry forward. Attendees will have access to over nearly 200 exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall, multiple networking opportunities to connect with fellow participants including WindMatch one-on-one appointments, and more than 75 experts speaking on the latest developments, projects, and products moving the offshore wind industry and its supply chain forward.
