Nick DeMichele is Oceantic Network’s Senior Director of Marketing & Creative Strategy, overseeing marketing for the organization’s events, products, and services. He directs the organization’s branding and visual identity, leading the creation of art assets and campaigns that support member engagement, industry growth, and public awareness of the offshore wind and marine renewable energy industries. Nick works across teams to align messaging, strengthen brand consistency, and ensure Oceantic’s creative materials reflect its leadership in the clean energy sector.
Nick began his career in design working with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and non-profits in Washington, D.C., supporting fundraising campaigns, organizational publications, advertising, and events. He partnered with Oceantic as a contractor before joining full-time, providing design expertise for the premier International Partnering Forum (IPF) and other events. Before joining full-time, Nick worked in the corporate headquarters of a national franchise organization, delivering daily design work for multiple brands, leading an e-commerce website redesign, overseeing updates to cornerstone organizational materials, and contributing to business development research and initiatives nationwide.
Nick earned an M.B.A. in management from Frostburg State University, graduating summa cum laude with program honors, and holds a B.S. in Political Science and English with a minor in Journalism.
A native of Allegany County, Maryland, Nick now lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has taught at the undergraduate level in mainland China and enjoys woodworking, travel, historical fiction, and—when away from his desk—can usually be found in his garden talking to his plants.
